1. What is JioSign? What does it offer?

JioSign is a digital signing platform. Now you can digitally sign any kind of document as well as invite multiple people to sign the document digitally. To sign any document just create your account on JioSign, upload your document, and add the person(s) who you want to sign the document. Once done you can sign and send the same automatically to others for signing.

2. What kind of documents can be signed using the JioSign platform?

JioSign can be used for personal as well as enterprise needs. You can sign any PDF document such as, various types of agreements, inter-office memos, approval notes, employment offer letters, purchase orders, invoices, etc.

3. Why should I use JioSign? What are the benefits?

JioSign allows users to manage their document signing workflows digitally allowing users to sign from anywhere over the phone or computer, saving time and money. JioSign has been built keeping in mind both Indian and global user needs in a personal or enterprise context. While JioSign offers features found in industry-leading global platforms such as support for multi-party signing, sequencing of signatories, etc., it also provides for India-specific needs such as DSC token-based digital signatures and Aadhaar e-Signature (coming soon).

4. How does the JioSign platform guarantee the authenticity of a signed document using JioSign?

Every document signed on the JioSign platform is accompanied by the following:

• A separate, downloadable, complete audit trail of all the events associated with the respective document.
• An included virtual signature disclosure statement captures all signing events together with a timestamp.
• Both the audit trail and virtual signature disclosure counter are signed by the JioSign platform to ensure integrity thereon.

So, if the document is tampered with, the signatures in the document become invalid, making the document ‘tamper evident’.

5. How much does it cost to use JioSign?

JioSign is at present free to sign up and use. If JioSign becomes a paid service in the future, you will be informed in advance and allowed to download and store any documents you might already have on JioSign.

6. Does JioSign have a mobile app?

JioSign is designed to work well from your mobile or laptop/desktop by accessing JioSign.com. You do not need to download any separate app for JioSign.

7. When I sign in with my email ID, I can’t see the documents signed while using my mobile.

To see the documents signed by you (or have been invited to sign) on your mobile, always use your mobile number account. Similarly, sign in with your email ID to see documents that you have signed (or have been invited to sign) using your email ID account.
